Civil Appeals:

  • Holt v Dental Board of Australia [2023] NTSC 28 (led by Mr Douglas Savage KC) - Appeal considered findings of the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and whether or not the Tribunal had erred in law in making those findings


Administrative Law:

  • Holt v Dental Council of New South Wales [2020] NSWCATOD 37 (as assisting Counsel to Mr Anthony Morris QC & Brad Wright) - a successful stay application brought against the Dental Council of NSW who suspended a medical practitioner.


Family Law:

  • Reyes & Reyes [2024] FedCFamC1A 161 - successful defence of an appeal where the Husband appealed from final property orders raising a number of grounds in relation to the conduct of the hearing.

  • Melville & Melville (No 3) [2020] FamCAFC 231; [2020] FLC93-985 - successful defence of an appeal where a father appealed from final parenting and property orders made by consent, where the father had sought to withdraw his consent by email and whether such correspondence enlivened the jurisdiction of the Court. The appeal determining there was no failure of procedural fairness, and if there was it was not of material affect.

  • Little & Little [2020] FamCA 740 - where the wife sought to vary final consent orders pursuant to s. 79A of the Family Law Act, the parties reaching negotiated agreement which was just and equitable on the morning of trial.


Domestic and Family Violence Law:

  • KAL v DJL (No 2) [2022] QDC 275 - Resisting a costs order following an appeal brought pursuant to the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012 (Qld), where the defence of the appeal justified a departure from the usual order that costs follow the event.
